After nearly a decade of supporting startups, VentureLab North closed its doors at the end of December 2024. This not only marks the end of a successful period but also the start of a new chapter with the launch of Innokite at the MXT Conference on January 15, 2025. Future Tech Ventures invests in IonIQs: efficient lithium extraction from wastewater.

At the end of last month, an exciting development took place for a startup at Campus Groningen! Future Tech Ventures invested in IonIQs, a startup that has developed a sustainable technology to efficiently extract lithium from wastewater. Lithium is a scarce and essential material for high-performance batteries, but the current extraction and purification process results in significant water waste worldwide.
