On Tuesday 1 September, we will be kicking off the new academic year together, with ‘collaboration’ as this year’s central theme. We will be reflecting on our connection with the wider community, a key pillar of our strategic direction. Together with the professional sector, civil society organisations, public authorities and regional partners, we are building future-proof education and practice-oriented research. In this way, we are contributing to the development of our region.

On Sunday 4 October 2026, a new edition of Zpannend Zernike will take place at the Zernike Campus in Groningen. It will be a day when children, young people and their parents and grandparents can discover science, technology and innovation in an accessible and interactive way.
