The University of Groningen (RUG), Hanze and the ACLO are joining forces to build a new Sports Centre on Zernike Campus. The new building will be constructed next to the current Sports Centre. Construction work is now underway.
On Friday, 3 July, the contractor will begin pile-driving work. These activities are expected to continue until 25 July. During this period, the pile driving may cause some noise disturbance.
During construction, the footpath at Blauwborgje will be closed. A temporary pedestrian diversion is available via the footpath alongside the Knickerbockers sports fields (via the I Building). Please see the map below for the diversion route.
