The Zernike NanoLab Groningen, part of the Zernike Institute of Advanced Materials, contains state-of-the-art equipment for nanofabrication, deposition techniques, lithography, microscopy and scanning probe techniques. In addition to conventional techniques for semiconductors and metals, it is also possible to process organic semiconductors. Cryogenic and laser setups and instruments for electronic and microwave measurements are available for measurements. Several clean rooms are available for prototyping. Experienced technicians offer professional support for all available techniques.
The Zernike NanoLab Groningen is part of NanoLabNL: the national Dutch facility for nanotechnology research for scientists and entrepreneurs. Other branches are located in Twente, Eindhoven, Gorningen and Amsterdam. They support scientists with their research and entrepreneurs in improving or innovating their products, production processes or developing new products. All this with the aim of contributing to strengthening the knowledge economy of the Netherlands.
There are three categories of users who are permitted to use the Zernike NanoLab Groningen:
Users from the University of Groningen (including externally funded users, such as from STW, FOM, NWO, CW, NanoNed, MicroNed)
Users from other institutes participating in NanoNed or MicroNed
